PERFORMING ON THE ZENTRAL STAGES
GENERAL INFORMATION
The Zürcher Theater Spektakel is one of the most renowned international festivals of contemporary performing arts. Street art is an integral part of the programme.
The Zürcher Theater Spektakel 2022 presents curated street art on the various Zentral Stages. Applications can be made until 22 May 2022. Additionally, there is a spot on the festival site allocated for street performances.
The number of artists admitted to perform on the Zentral Stages is limited.
The info desk located at the Zentral Stages is the meeting point for all street artists. Furthermore, dressing rooms, lockers, showers and toilets are available for the performing artists. More information and performing conditions see below.
PERFORMING CONDITIONS
Duration of performance Up to 60 minutes
Set-up and tear-down No more than 2 x 30 minutes
Technical equipment The stages offer basic technical equipment. The festival provides a technician.
Fee Subject to agreement: Pass the hat or fee.
Liability The Zürcher Theater Spektakel does not assume any liability for injurious effects caused by the performances. Discriminating behaviour and language will not be tolerated. Artists who do not adhere to the set rules and modes of interaction will be expelled from the festival site.
Application Artists wishing to perform within the curated programme of the Zentral Stages need to apply by 22 May 2022. Only electronically submitted applications will be considered.
Suitable Genres Traditional street art, physical theatre, Nouveau Cirque, puppet theatre, dance, spoken word, performance and other similar acts. Unplugged concerts – also explicitly for children and families – are possible.
Confirmed performances Successful applicants for the curated programme of the Zentral Stages will receive a written confirmation via email.
Accommodation Artists are offered a pitch for their camper or a simple accommodation for the night following their confirmed performance.
Travel costs The Theater Spektakel assumes the travel costs.
Food Artists receive a per diem for each day of their confirmed performance.
Promotion The festival organisers promote the curated programme on the internet and on-site.
